The worst telemarketers are political campaigns and their ilk. They are exempt from the No-Call/Do-Not-Call registries and they abuse that exemption to the extreme. They don’t call just once — they harass you for your vote relentlessly. They are deceptive about it too. They don’t identify themselves on caller id, and they bombard you with recorded messages leaving you no opportunity to request they take your number off their call list. I don’t answer the phone, but I do have to go through my voice mail to delete their recorded crap.

I have lodged my complaint officially with the Missouri Attorney General.

If you want me to vote for you, legislate to remove these stupid exemptions from the No-Call List laws. If you want me to consider voting for the opposition, keep bugging me with your asinine calls.
